Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Baldwin Community Fire Protection District has received a $87,273 Assistance to Firefighters grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The funds will be used for fire operations and firefighter safety. Costello cosponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program.
"This award will enhance fire protection services in Randolph County," said Costello. "Public safety must remain our number one priority, and I will continue to work to ensure that our first responders have the resources they need."
