Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The funds will be used for a first principles based simulation of hydrogen interactions in complex hydrides.
"SIUC continues to be a leader in many research fields," Costello said. "Grants such as this will help the university meet the goals of the 'Southern at 150' plan."
