Visiting Washington D.C.

RSS Feed
Washington, DC is one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world. I encourage you to take advantage of its rich history and endless opportunities. As you plan your trip to the nation's capitol, my staff is here to help. Feel free to contact Anne Pace, the Tour Coordinator in our Washington, DC office for information on obtaining a "Guide to DC" package.  For more information on visiting our nation's capital, visit my Washington, D.C. Visitor's Information webpage.

The U.S. Capitol
If you would like to arrange a tour of the Capitol, you may now book tours online in advance by visiting the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center Web site.  The Capitol’s newest addition, the Capitol Visitor Center, will now serve as its main entry.  On your visit to Washington, DC, I invite you to stop by 2438 Rayburn, meet my staff, and have your picture taken in my office.  My staff is happy to provide constituents with passes to the House and Senate Galleries where you can watch Congress in action while the chambers are in session.  Additionally, House Gallery passes are available when the House is not in session.

The White House
We are also pleased to help set up tours of the White House for groups of four or more. Because of high demand, White House tours can be submitted no less than 30 days in advance and up to six months in advance. Due to renovations to the White House tour process, they now require that we submit security information for everyone that plans to tour the White House with the initial request, no matter what their age.  Without this additional information, we will not be able to submit your request.  Tours of the White House are scheduled on a first come basis in the order in which the request was received.  In order to increase your chances of receiving a tour, I recommend making your requests as early as possible.  I also recommend making yourself available on as many days as possible; the greater your flexibility, the greater your chance of participating in a tour.  Click here  for more detailed information on visiting the White House.

If you are interested in requesting a tour of the White House through our office, please fill out a Tour Request Form or email Anne Pace, our Tour Coordinator at forbes.tours@mail.house.gov.
