Sustainable change will come when we combine the vision and dedication of House Members and staff with ideas from other areas of government and the American people.

Julie is a transplanted New Yorker and an enthusiastic supporter of green markets. Taking farm to table literally, she and her husband work a community garden.

Julie enjoys identifying opportunities and seeking creative solutions for sustainable change. She has had a diverse career in both the public and private sectors. Her environmental work has included internal House efforts to achieve a Zero Landfill goal. Outside of work, Julie created The Gardeners Share, a community program of individual gardeners who contribute fresh produce to neighbors in need. Mendoza studies sustainable food systems at Johns Hopkins University.
