Energy efficiency, resource conservation, and sustainable business operations are good business.

Allison Rogers, LEED AP, came to Green the Capitol from Harvard University's Office for Sustainability, where she coordinated the sustainability programs for Harvard College, Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School, and Harvard Real Estate Services. Allison's professional experience includes geochemistry lab research at Brown University, conservation corps work with inner-city youth and outdoor experiential learning programs throughout the northeast.

As Miss Rhode Island 2006, Allison was the first Miss America Competition contestant with a conservation and sustainability-focused platform. In this role, Allison worked with local businesses, schools, and community organizations throughout the country to adopt sustainable business practices.

Allison holds a master's degree from Harvard University and is currently studying national security at the Naval War College.
