The Fight Against the Spread of HIV/AIDS is Personal for Us

For nearly thirty years disclosing an HIV positive status has often triggered a prejudiced reaction. I believe this prejudice often stemmed from a lack of knowledge about the disease. Especially in the early years of the epidemic, there weren’t many conversations about it and not knowing about something can be fearful and cause people to turn away from the truth.
