Washington, DC - This weekend, Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) will attend the 21st Annual Czech Slovak Festival. At the event, she will be joined by R.T. Rybak, Mayor of Minneapolis and leaders from Czech and Slovak Sokol Minnesota.

This free event - organized by Czech and Slovak Sokol Minnesota - will celebrate the Czech and Slovak culture, which dates back to 1860's immigration into St. Paul's West End. Throughout the day, there will be folk dancing, folk music, and ethnic food and beverages. A parade will also be included in the day's festivities.

Czech and Slovak Sokol Minnesota is a social, cultural, and educational organization. Through social activities and educational programs, the organization seeks to preserve the Czech, Slovak and immigrant heritage for future generations.
