WASHINGTON -- Congressman Tom Petri reports that the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has been awarded a $40,271 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds are to be used to support advanced education nursing traineeships.

"Modern nursing requires a high level of specialized training. These funds will help to maintain and raise the high standards needed in health care facilities today," Petri said.
