UWO Gets $1.8 Million Head Start Grant
WASHINGTON -- The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh will receive a $1,817,792 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Rep. Tom Petri announced Thursday.
"This is the remainder of a $3.8 million grant," Petri said,
adding, "The money will be used to serve 609 children and their
families through the Head Start program. At least 61 of the
children have diagnosed disabilities and will receive special
services. Also, some of the money will be used for staff
training."
