WASHINGTON -- Congressman Tom Petri reports that Randolph High School senior Tyler Lee Swanson has been offered an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, CO.

"I congratulate Mr. Swanson, and want to remind other nominees to the various academies that additional appointments may be offered," said Petri.

"Tyler has impressed his teachers and fellow students through his role as president of the Randolph High School Student Council and as a member of the school math team," said Petri. "He is credited with being a reliable person and a proven leader who is both inquisitive and enthusiastic about academic subjects. I'm confident that he will do well at the academy."
