St. Cloud Fire Department Wins Grant

Congressman Tom Petri reports that the St. Cloud Volunteer Firemen's Association will receive a $47,500 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  The funds will be used to install an exhaust system in the fire house so personnel will be protected from vehicle fumes.

 "Our firefighters deserve appropriate equipment both to fight fires and to protect their health," said Petri.  "Many small departments need extra help to achieve adequate standards.  I want to congratulate the St. Cloud fire department for succeeding with its grant application to this highly competitive program."
