Rep. Petri's Schedule

 

 

Of Special Note
 
Legislation:  Rep. Petri will likely introduce the Making Work and Marriage Pay Act of 2011.  This bill would establish a commission to study the effective marginal tax rates imposed on low-income families. 
 
In the House
 
The House is likely to consider the DISCLOSE Act, H.R. 5175.  This bill is designed to respond to the recent Citizens United Supreme Court decision which struck down certain limits to free speech during campaign seasons.
 
The House may consider a Senate amendment to the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2010, H.R. 4899.
 
The House may consider the Conference Report on H.R. 2194, the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act.

On Wednesday, June 23, Rep. Petri will participate in a Highways and Transit Subcommittee hearing on "Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010:  Understanding the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's New System of Motor Carrier Oversight.
 
If any reporters want to catch up with him in Wisconsin, Rep. Petri is scheduled to serve as a "celebrity chef" from 8-9 a.m. Sunday, June 27, at the annual Fond du Lac County Breakfast on the Farm being held at Hillside Dairy, the Mark and Missy Steffes Farm, located near Mt. Calvary.
