Petri Reacts to Obama Speech

Media Advisory:  Rep. Petri made the following comments on President Obama's speech.  This is verbatim as recorded:

"I thought the President's speech was a good speech.  It certainly was well delivered.  And I think his call for reaching out and working on health care reform on a bipartisan basis is something that will be applauded by everyone because rising health care costs and the difficulty of getting affordable health care is a major concern for, certainly, the people I represent, and I think for just about every American.

"The proposal to reform the regulatory system is much needed, and Congress needs to get right to work on it.  And, of course, education and energy were other subjects the President discussed.  And being on the Education Committee, I'm looking forward, particularly, to having input in that area."
