Petri Named Guardian of Small Business

Congressman Tom Petri has been named a "Guardian of Small Business" by the National Federation of Independent Business for his votes during the 110th Congress.  The NFIB is the nation's leading small business association.

"This award is about small business and people like Congressman Petri who support small business, who support free enterprise, and who understand that small business really is the engine of the economy," said NFIB President and CEO Todd Stottlemyer, whose organization gave the Congressman an 81 percent positive rating.

"People who run small businesses have a lot of challenges, they provide a lot of jobs, and it's important that they have as good a business environment as possible in which to flourish," said Petri while receiving the award.
