Petri Looking Forward to Inauguration

In unscripted comments recorded for broadcasters, Rep. Petri said the following about the upcoming inauguration:

"This inauguration is a new chapter in our national life, and this is an especially significant one.  It opens a whole new chapter of community relations in the United States.  It has a potential to be a major unifying inauguration in our country.  And of course, the whole world is watching.

"It may be the largest inauguration in the history of our country and in the history of just about any country.

"So, I'm looking forward to participating in this historical event, and I'm looking forward to getting down to work with my colleagues in the new administration, making progress on some of the problems we have as a country." (Audio of Rep. Petri's comments)
