Advocap Wins Grant to Help Flooded Businesses

WASHINGTON - Congressman Tom Petri reports that Advocap, Inc. of Fond du Lac, a non-profit community action agency, has been awarded a $99,192 Rural Development grant by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The funds will be used to provide assistance to flood-disaster impacted businesses in rural areas of Green Lake, Fond du Lac, and Winnebago counties.  This funding will assist 20 businesses and save 50 jobs.

"As expected, the people of east-central Wisconsin are working hard to fully recover from the recent weather, and multiple federal agencies have been helping," Petri said.  "This grant is certainly welcome."
