Watertown Students Meet Rep. Petri In Washington

Riverside Social Studies teacher Tim Gifford explained that the group was visiting the nation's capital in association with the Washington Workshops Foundation.  The group arrived Sunday and will return home Friday.

"It's a chance for the kids to see the government function, and the sights, and to meet people like Congressman Petri," he said.  "It has been a good week already, and we have a way to go."

"I like to meet with students both here and back home, to answer their questions and encourage their interest in their government," said Petri.
