USDA Grant Approved for Fond du Lac, Dodge Counties

Congressman Tom Petri reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a $99,900 grant for the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation.

The grant will be used to establish a revolving fund to provide loans to small businesses in Fond du Lac and Dodge counties that were affected by the June 2008 flooding.  "This region has been declared a disaster area by the President, and is in need of assistance.  This project will help to save an estimated 28 jobs," Petri said.

Adding to the fund will be $10,000 from the development corporation and $90,100 from a commercial lender.
