Congressman Tom Petri is in the midst of 12 town meetings throughout east-central Wisconsin. He says attendance has been higher than normal, probably because constituents want their worries heard about the health care bills in Congress.
"We have had good attendance, and a lot of concerned citizens have been particularly concerned about changes that are being proposed in bills before the House and Senate in the health care system, but there are also concerns about the federal deficit and state of the economy," he said.
Petri said attendees have been respectful of each other's views, but have been determined to be heard.
