$99,900 for Fond du Lac Business Revolving Loan Fund

WASHINGTON - Congressman Tom Petri reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a $99,900 Rural Business Enterprise grant for a revolving loan fund to be established by the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation.  The fund will also include $2 million obtained from a commercial lender.

"The fund will assist businesses wishing to expand or locate in rural Fond du Lac County with four percent loans of $15,000-$100,000.  It is projected that one new business will be assisted this year, the Senior Community Center of Waupun, LLC, and that seven full-time and 12-17 part-time jobs will be created by this project," Petri said.

"It represents another tool in our economic toolbox to create jobs and additional opportunities," said Brenda Hicks-Sorensen, the president of the development corporation.
