Brillion to Receive Rural Development Funds

Congressman Tom Petri reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a $165,000 rural development loan to the Brillion Housing Authority, Inc., to fund the upgrade of the Garrow Villa Community Based Residential Facility.  The facility is currently listed for 20 residents and would like to expand operations to include eight dementia/Alzheimer's residents. 

Garrow Villa is the only facility in Brillion which provides these services, and will need to make a number of capital improvements in order to obtain a license for this upgrade.

The loan is for 10 years at a 4.5 percent interest rate.

"It's of great value for people to be able to live out their lives close to their home towns and their families.  Development loans such as this one help to keep our smaller cities and towns vital and attractive," Petri said.
