ADVOCAP Receives Grant to Help Low-Income Entrepreneurs
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Tom Petri reports that ADVOCAP, Inc., of Fond du Lac, has been awarded $479,379 to provide training and other services for low-income entrepreneurs interested in starting their own businesses in Fond du Lac, Green Lake and Winnebago Counties.
"The funds will be used to help people in rural areas
write business plans, get training in accounting, computer
management and other business skills, obtain business loans
and the like," said Petri. "This is under the Job
Opportunities for Low Income Individuals program, which is
designed to alleviate poverty by helping low-income
entrepreneurs to grow the economy."
