Veterans
While I am not a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, as a member of the Armed Services Committee I believe that Congress must work to provide our veterans with the best possible services and healthcare benefits that they deserve.
Especially now with a new generation of veterans returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, it is one of my top priorities to ensure all of our veterans have to the best possible state-of-art, innovative medical care.
Since coming to Congress, I have supported the historic expansion of the G.I Bill and the largest increase in veterans' healthcare spending in over 77 years. And this Congress, I formed the Third Congressional District Veterans' Advisory Council to help me better serve the needs of our brave men and women who have served in uniform. To all of those that served in uniform, we owe an undying debt of gratitude.
