Academy Nominations

Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. As your 6th District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies.

Casework/Assistance with Federal Agencies

The cases the office can assist constituents with involve a range of federal issues such as Social Security, veterans benefits, problems with a particular branch of military service, and individuals in need of an expedited passport who are leaving the country within a week.

Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our congressional disrict.

Farm Services

Congress set up FSA to be a unique system under which Federal farm programs are administered locally. Farmers who are eligible to participate in these programs elect a three- to five-person county committee, which reviews county office operations and makes decisions on how to apply the programs.
