Medicaid

Medicaid has provided medical assistance to certain individuals and families with low incomes and resources since 1965. It is a cooperative effort between the States and the federal government, allowing each State to:

  • Establish eligibility standards
  • Determine the type, amount, duration, and scope of services
  • Set the rate of payment for services
  • Administer the program

These websites explain how the Medicaid program is applied in Utah. If you have additional questions, please contact the Salt Lake office.
