Casework

If you are experiencing problems with a federal agency (such as USCIS, SSA, VA, etc.), please contact my office by following the casework application process provided.

1. Print and fill out the appropriate form below so that agencies will be able to provide us with information about your case.
   • Veteran Authorization Form
   • Federal Agency Authorization Form
2. Attach any relevant documents and a concise explanation of your problem.

Q: Do I have to reside in the 2nd Congressional District to be able to ask Congressman Larsen for help?

Yes, you need to be a resident in the 2nd District of Washington for me to be able to help you with your case. If you aren’t sure which district you live in, please see www.house.gov. All you need is your Zip Code + 4. You can determine your full Zip Code at www.usps.gov if you are unsure of the last four digits.

Q: What if my problem does not involve a federal agency?

My office is only able to make inquiries of Federal agencies. If your case involves a state or local agency, please contact your state or local government representative for assistance. You may find your state representative at www.leg.wa.gov.

Q. Can I fill out an authorization form for someone else?

Due to privacy laws, we must have the written consent of the constituent involved in order to make an official inquiry. However, feel free to contact my office to express concerns regarding a constituent who is having difficulty. Please contact my office and outline the situation so that we can contact them directly and get their written consent.

Q: What if my problem has to do with a legal issue or dispute?

As a member of the Legislative Branch, neither I, nor my office can become involved in court cases or legal issues due to the Separation of Powers as outlined in the Constitution.

Q: What if my problem is regarding a law I would like to see changed?

If you are advocating for a change in the law, please contact any of my offices and leave your comment.
