Chandler Meets with Bourbon County Resident Working in Brussels
 

WASHINGTON (March 15, 2006) Congressman Ben Chandler recently traveled to Brussels as part of his official duties as a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.  The role of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is to maintain a strong link between NATO and the Congresses and parliaments in NATO member countries. 

 

 

Patrick Stephenson works at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly as a Research Assistant. Stephenson is a resident of Bourbon County working in Brussels through June of this year.

 

 

Over 300 individuals applied for five spots with the Assembly.  Stephenson is currently focusing his research on Caucasus, Central Asia and Afghanistan.  In addition to his research assistant work, Stephenson is teaching classes on government, philosophy and economics to US servicemen and women.  He has also done election monitoring work in Russia, the Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

 

 

The NATO headquarters is located in Brussels, Belgium.
