  • I feel that Cap and Trade, if implemented properly, could give government, at the state and federal levels, and added source of income while simultaneously encouraging power utilities to reduce their carbon emissions. It has the potential to encourage the development of low-carbon, renewable energy by creating a demand for it. I live in Indiana's 5th district and I really wish my congressman is not fighting so hard against this bill.

  • That's great!

If you look at the failed AMNESTY immigration bill, public pressure WORKS.

God help us now because Al Frankenstein is Senate vote 60, giving Obama FREE rein, unless some level headed Dems stand up.

  • To find your senators phone number

    (Type in with out spaces)

Let's put the pressure on AND KEEP IT ON and not stop until they vote this one down!

  • Good for you! I wrote my senators immediately after the vote and put the pressure on them to vote it down in the senate. Fortunately my house reps said no to this bill. I'm fairly confident my senators will too, but I wanted to make sure they did know how I felt about it. (I'll probably snail-mail them too. I don't have long distance to call Washington.)

  • I called both Mark Kirk and Dick Durbin here in Illinois.

I chewed out Kirk for voting for this, and let his office know that if he runs for Obamas old Senate seat, there will be more than enough republicans who now REFUSE to vote for him ever AGAIN.

Then I called Durbins office to tell him that Illinoisans are WATCHING how he votes on this when it get's to the Senate and with all the taxes we pay here in Illinois in addition to possibly getting the Olympics, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

  • This cap and trade business makes me sick. What happened to the promise of "not taxing the poor"? What, does Obama think we huddle together for warmth?

Keep up the fight. There's better alternatives than wasting money and lining the pockets of corrupt businesses who already bought carbon credits with the expectation of this BS to pass as law.

  • Keep up the FIGHT.

God bless you for being a true patriot.

  • so thankful for representatives who are willing to fight to stop cap-and-trade!

  • I found a link to this video on the GOP website in the first 30 seconds I was there. This is sick and the people who are behind this BS (same people behind 9.11) will be hanging from a noose on us soil by 2011. If not all is lost

  • Save your job! Stop cap and trade now!

Call your representatives now and tell them to stop cap and trade.
