Working with U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, efforts are underway to secure support from various agencies to complete the project. Various options will be reviewed in the coming months to advance the new auto train terminal, which opens this fall and is expected to be totally completed in January of 2011. Sanford Housing Authority Meeting - Reps Mica and Brown convened a meeting of US Housing and Development, Sanford Housing Authority, and community leaders to review problems which have surfaced at the Sanford Housing Authority. As a result of the discussions, federal HUD officials will work with the local agency to close some units, rehabilitated others and relocate tenants. Several years ago, Mica successfully petitioned HUD to place the troubled agency in receivership.
