Welcome to the Pension Policy section of the HELP Committee website. The HELP Committee has primary jurisdiction over private retirement plans and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation through the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and over railroad retirement. This website contains information on Committee legislation, hearings and markups, and provides access to Committee hearing testimony. It also contains links to all federal agencies that are charged with enforcing federal labor and retirement laws. We hope you find this website helpful.
