In light of the dire need to assist borrowers, Congressman Cummings will host his fifth Foreclosure Prevention Workshop on Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Mortgage Lenders, The Department of Housing and Urban Development, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will meet, person-to-person with borrowers facing foreclosure.
The economy may be improving; however, there are still many borrowers who are losing their jobs, experiencing a decrease in their income and losing their homes to foreclosure. Foreclosure rates continue to rapidly increase and many more people still need to refinance their mortgages or obtain loan modifications to save their homes.
