U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant

Proudly Serving the 24th District of Texas
Casework
One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help people with federal problems. Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I can often intervene on a person's behalf to answer questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape.

Below you will find a list of agencies that I can help you with. However, regardless of which agency you need help with, I need a completed privacy authorization form to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act.  I will also need a completed casework request form to process your case.

Please click here for a printable version of the privacy authorization form and then fax or mail to my district office. Which agency do you need help with?

Education Department

FCC - Federal Communications Commission

Housing and Urban Development

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

Internal Revenue Service

Department of Labor

Medicare

Military

Office of Personnel Management

Passport Service

Postal Service

Social Security Administration

Department of Veteran's Affairs

Please keep in mind that while my office can act as a liaison between a constituent and a federal agency, in no way can my office circumvent the laws, regulations, and procedures set forth by federal law.  However, we may act on your behalf to ensure that your case is handled appropriately, efficiently, and in a manner consistent with your rights as a citizen of the United States.

Unfortunately, I am not able to assist you if your issue is with a Texas state agency or if it concerns a judicial matter.  As a Member of Congress, I do not have jurisdiction to intervene on state matters such as:

• Child support
• Motor vehicle registration or loss of license
• Welfare
• State taxes

Some examples of judicial matters that I cannot assist with are:

• Child custody
• Divorce
• Criminal investigations, prosecutions, or imprisonment
