7. In the Wisconsin State Assembly a replica of a bald eagle is perched above the chambers. This eagle was captured by a young Chippewa Indian in the wilds north of the Flambeau River in 1861, and is one of Wisconsin's most beloved Civil War heroes. In 39 Civil War battles, this eagle would take to the skies, crying fiercely as he circled the battlefield. The greater the din of battle, the louder this eagle would scream, bringing joy to the Wisconsin Eighth Infantry and woe to the rebels. He survived the Civil War and returned to Wisconsin, where he lived out his days dining on fresh meat in the basement of the capitol in Madison. This eagle died in 1881, and was stuffed and mounted above the assembly chambers until the building burned in 1904. What is this historic Wisconsin bird's name?
