Washington, D.C. - Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) today released the following statement upon Lockheed Martin's decision to locate 300 additional positions at its facility in Owego, NY.

"The news that Lockheed Martin will be bringing 300 new positions to its facilities in Owego is great news for our part of New York. While it is disappointing that 40 current positions will be transferred outside of the region, I am confident that the talented workforce in the Southern Tier is ready to take on these new positions. I am going to do everything I can to ensure that we continue to see job growth in Owego and the entire Southern Tier."
