Rep. Petri Announces Grants for
Menasha and New Holstein Schools
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Petri reports that the Menasha Joint School District has been awarded a $170,645 grant from the U.S. Department of Education, and the School District of New Holstein will receive $199,850.
"Both grants are for mentoring programs for children with
the greatest need," said Petri. "The children receive guidance
and support from mentors, they get help to improve their academic
performance and to improve their interpersonal relationships with
their peers, teachers and other adults. The idea is to help keep
these students in school, out of gangs and out of trouble."
