Enhanced airdrop technology recently was identified as a great national need. US Air Force Four Star General, Duncan MacNabb, provided the following comment on December 15th 2009 to several senior generals regarding the need for precision airdrop; “Given the current and emerging threats …I am convinced we collectively need to spend some more energy and money on developing and integrating these types of capabilities… to both ensure critical resupply and get our folks out of harm’s way where we can.”

Furthermore, precision airdrop is a technology largely developed and advanced at the 7th district’s Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC). Continued support of this capability ensures growth and further job creation for NSRDEC.
