Congress has already taken steps to create jobs and rebuild our economy by enacting the Recovery Act.
As chairman of the House Budget Committee, I helped to craft the budget resolution for Fiscal Year 2010 - an economic blueprint for the future that builds on these initial steps by making strategic investments to rebuild our economy over the longer term – including investments in health care reform, education, and energy independence – and by putting the budget back on a path to fiscal sustainability.
