House Expected to Vote on Child Nutrition Bill This Week

The House is now expected to vote on the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, child nutrition reauthorization legislation on December 2. The bill would dramatically improve the quality of meals in school and in child care, increase the number of healthy meals available to needy children and provide the first real increase in the Federal reimbursement rate for school lunches in over 30 years.
