Internships in Congressman Petri's Washington Office

Interns assist Congressman Petri (R-Wisconsin) and his staff in the overall day-to-day operations of the office by answering telephones, greeting visitors, investigating constituent requests, drafting responses to letters, and preparing press mailings. They are also assigned research projects on an ad hoc basis.

Interns have the opportunity to attend committee hearings and take advantage of the unique perspective of Capitol Hill. We try to give our interns a firsthand view of the legislative process and we make every effort to provide them with a worthwhile learning experience.

These positions are unpaid, available year round, and for variable lengths of time. Preference is given to applicants from Wisconsin's 6th District.
