Silver Creek Fire Department Wins Grant
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Tom Petri reports that the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department two miles west of Random Lake has won a $7,583 Fire Prevention and Safety grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
"The funds will be used to set up a 'hazard house' - a mock-
up house for educating grade school students about fire safety.
The kids will be shown through the rooms of the house where
various fire hazards will be brought to their attention," Petri
said.
