Beaver Dam Schools Receive Grant
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Tom Petri reports that the Beaver Dam Unified School District will receive a $299,918 grant from the U.S. Department of Education as part of the Smaller Learning Communities program.
"The school district proposal has several different aspects
including changing the current eight-period day into four
periods, improving academic standards and support, peer
mentoring, expanded transition support for incoming high school
freshmen, and improved professional development for the staff,"
said Petri.
