Quick Facts on the Baucus Health Care Reform Bill:

• Most of the new spending doesn’t even start until 2014.  Once fully implemented, the new spending is $1.8 trillion over ten years (2014-2023). 
• CBO did not assess the effect of the proposals on national health expenditures either in the near term or in the long term.  In other words, CBO does not say whether the Baucus bill “bends the cost curve” or not.
