IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

October 17, 2000

Mr. SESSIONS, from the Committee on Rules, reported the following resolution; which was referred to the House Calendar and ordered to be printed


RESOLUTION

Providing for consideration of motions to suspend the rules.

    Resolved, That it shall be in order at any time on or before the legislative day of Friday, October 20, 2000, for the Speaker to entertain motions to suspend the rules, provided that the object of any such motion is announced from the floor at least 90 minutes before the motion is offered. In scheduling the consideration of legislation under this authority, the Speaker or his designee shall consult with the Minority Leader or his designee.

    SEC. 2. House Resolution 615 is laid on the table.
