Mica on Changing the Direction of Congress

I share the frustrations expressed by many of you who have written, called, emailed or personally mentioned to me your displeasure with the current direction of Congress and our Federal Government.  More spending, bigger bureaucracy and expanding deficits will not resolve some of the serious problems our nation faces at this time.  As your Representative in Congress, I remain firmly committed to finding commonsense, financially responsible solutions that focus on cutting unnecessary spending, taxes, balancing our budget and limiting the expansion of government.

I encourage you to browse through my website to see what actions I have taken to get America back to a positive course.  From getting people back to work to our nation’s immigration policy, I have tried to provide you as much information on current issues as possible.

Even more important, I want to hear from you on these and other pressing matters.  Your input is always welcome whether it is in person, or via letter, phone, fax, email.  Two other initiatives to increase constituent participation that I am excited about are YouCut and America Speaking Out.  On YouCut, you can vote online or by text to share how our nation can get back in the black.  On America Speaking Out, constituents are able to submit their proposals on what government can do for you.
