Academy Nominations
To receive an appointment to a military academy you must have a congressional nomination from your home-state Senator or from the Representative for the district where you reside. To apply for a nomination, you must submit a written request for nomination to my Miami office and complete a nomination application form by November 1 of your senior year in high school. Send your completed application to:

I have an Academy Review Board made up of active, reserve and retired officers, senior enlisted members and members of the community who interview candidates and make recommendations to me for nominations. The selection process is non-partisan and based on merit. I strongly encourage anyone interested in applying for a service academy nomination to immediately contact the academy to indicate their interest. Freshmen and sophomores who are considering attending a service academy should review Academy requirements early and plan their high school program accordingly.
