H.R. 1829 the Judiciary Federal Prison Industries Competition in Contracting Act of 2003

The Committee granted, by voice vote, an open rule providing one hour of general debate equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on the Judiciary. The rule provides that the bill shall be considered for amendment under the five-minute rule. The rule provides that the amendment in the nature of a substitute recommended by the Committee on the Judiciary now printed in the bill shall be considered as an original bill for the purpose of amendment and that each section shall be considered as read. The rule authorizes the Chair to accord priority in recognition to Members who have pre-printed their amendments in the Congressional Record. Finally, the rule provides one motion to recommit with or without instructions.

H.R. 2559 Appropriations Military Construction Appropriations Conference Report

The Committee granted, by voice vote, a rule waiving all points against the conference report and against its consideration. The rule provides that the conference report shall be considered as read.

 

H.J.Res. 76 Appropriations Making further continuing appropriations for FY 2004

The Committee granted, by voice vote, a closed rule providing one hour of debate in the House equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Appropriations. The rule waives all points of order against consideration of the bill. Finally, the rule provides one motion to recommit.
