H.R. 4351                   Ways and Means  

AMT Relief Act of 2007

The Committee granted, by a non-record vote, a closed rule providing one hour of debate equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the C ommittee on Ways and Means.

The rule waives all points of order against consideration of the bill except those arising under clause 9 or 10 of rule XXI.  The rule provides that the bill shall be considered as read.  The rule waives all points of order against provisions of the bill.  The rule provides one motion to recommit the bill.  Finally, the rule permits the C hair, during consideration of the bill, to postpone further consideration of it to a time designated by the Speaker.

H.R. 4299                   Financial Services     

Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization

The Committee granted, by a voice vote, a closed rule providing one hour of debate in the House equally divided and controlled by the chairman and ranking minority member of the Committee on Financial Services. The rule waives all points of order against consideration of the bill except those arising under clause 9 or 10 of rule XXI. The rule waives all points of order against provisions of the bill. The rule provides that the bill shall be considered as read.  The rule provides one motion to recommit with or without instructions.

Finally, the rule provides that during consideration of H.R. 4299, the Chair may postpone further consideration to a time designated by the Speaker.

Conference report to accompany H.R. 2082                        Intelligence

Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008  

The Committee granted, by a voice vote, a rule waiving all points of order against the conference report to accompany H.R. 2082, the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, and against its consideration.
