Prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from taking land into trust for the benefit of an Indian Tribe or any member of an Indian Tribe, without Congressional action. |

(WITHDRAWN) Amends the federal tribal acknowledgment procedure so that the Secretary of the Interior would be required to notify units of local governments when a Native American group within 25 miles files a petition. In addition, the amendment prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from taking land into trust for the benefit of an Indian Tribes or any member of an Indian Tribe, without Congressional action. |
