Klobuchar Statement on January Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. - Today U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar issued the following statement in response to the recently released January jobs report.
“Today’s jobs report is a reminder that our economy needs to be jolted into action. Behind today’s jobs statistics are millions of families, in Minnesota and across the nation, who are bearing the brunt of our worsening economy.
“The focus of our economic recovery package needs to be jobs, jobs, jobs – and I am working hard to make sure the package we are putting together in the Senate will create those jobs. This legislation will provide economic assistance aimed directly at Main Street. It includes economic relief for working families, and it invests in our roads, highways and bridges. I will continue to work on a recovery plan that will put Americans back to work and provide relief to middle-class families.”
