Klobuchar Statement on Farm Bill Agreement

April 26, 2008

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar released the following statement regarding the tentative agreement reached on the Farm Bill late yesterday:

“I am pleased that the farm bill is moving forward.  At a time when we face rising food and energy prices, the boost to nutrition and forward-looking energy policy is critical,” said Klobuchar. “I am glad that the incentives for cellulosic biofuels remain in the bill.  While many are responsible for people coming together on this, it would not have happened without the leadership of Representative Collin Peterson.”
